Posts are Canuck heavy
“Interesting stat of the night….Price is 10W, 32L in last 42 starts. Hmm.”
The truth hurts.
Victor Hedman got a belated, “welcome to the NHL” from Neil last night. He left on his own accord but is being evaluated and listed day to day.
WHILE THE PENS SEEM TO BE ON A START-FINISH VICTORY SCHEDULE, THE CANES ARE THE NEW #30 OF THE NHL.
CONGRATULATIONS GO TO THE LEAFS!

Notes
- Shane O’Brien was suspended for one game for reaching across to jab his stick at Sean Avery from his own bench.
- Steve Bernier reportedly has the flu and did not take the morning skate. Jannik Hansen did skate with the team, but is not ready to play.
- Kevin Bieksa will most likely replace Bernier on the top line with Burrows and Henrik.
- Henrik Sedin, who had twin sympathy pains (and got tagged by a puck late in the game), had his foot x-rayed after Tuesday’s contest. Shockingly, he’s okay!
- The photo is from the file: “things that cannot happen tonight, due to injury.”
Hockey Canada selects Dec. 31 to name Olympic team
Steve Yzerman has made some pretty important plans for New Year’s Eve.
The executive director of Team Canada has selected Dec. 31 as the day he’ll unveil the 23-man roster for the Olympic men’s hockey team.
Hockey Canada is still working out details of where the announcement will be made.
As if you needed another reason to hate the Flames, now they cut ahead of babies, pregnant ladies, and the elderly:
After the team’s doctors consulted with AHS officials on the “potential commotion and intrusion” that sending the team to one of the public mass vaccination clinics would cause, the players got their H1N1 shots on Friday at a medical clinic “under the direction of Alberta Health Services,” the statement continued.
One day later, the province abruptly suspended its clinics because of a vaccine shortage. Details of when and how they will be reopened are expected on Tuesday.
Stephen Duckett, president and CEO of Alberta Health Services, has said that Albertans at the greatest risk of catching the virus — including pregnant women, young children and people under the age of 65 with chronic health conditions — will be inoculated first when the clinics resume.
