Pens-Caps and Flames-Canadiens in 2011 Bridgestone... →
I think the Pens-Caps match up is good even though the Pens have had an outdoor game already the Ovie-Crosby battles are always great but, I would have preferred to see a Flames-Canucks match-up instead of the Canadiens. Van and Calgary have a great rivalry and Montreal has had an outdoor game already. I know, I know, it’s about ratings and no one will watch in the East if the Habs or Leafs...

The Chicago Blackhawks are the First Vitamin D... →
The Chicago Blackhawk team physicians began diagnosing and treating vitamin D deficiency in all Blackhawk players about 18 months ago. Apparently, most players are on 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 per day.

The Flyers got into the playoffs because they won in a shootout in the last game of the regular season. I find it kind of hilarious that they could now potentially win the cup.

The Ottawa Business Journal: Senators in the red... →
Since I’m always gleefully pushing for another Canadian team every time there’s news of another Southern US team that’s in the red, it’s only fair to point out that the Sens lost money for the second year in a row. Now, if geography isn’t your strong point, you might be asking, well, where is this small market team? Surely not in Canada’s most populous...

The Globe and Mail: The Great Melting Rink →
As a little girl, Farah Sleiman would listen from her bed as her father and brother watched the Montreal Canadiens on television. It was 1991, and the entire family of immigrants from Lebanon were one year into their grand Canadian adventure. Hockey was a key part of the introduction.

There’s an alternate NHL schedule that includes the Jets in case they can’t get a deal done to keep the Coyotes in Glendale.

Jagr signs 1 year deal with Avangard Omsk →
It’s not that surprising I guess but, It would have been interesting to see if he still had the effect in the NHL he once did. His Olympic performance showed he did.

Stanley Cup Playoffs Day something or other
Another installment of Wyatt Arndt’s Playoff commentary Ah, there’s the kick to the groin I’ve been waiting for. You knew it was coming. You hoped it wasn’t. You thought maybe this time it wouldn’t hit you. But it did. It always does. It always does…. But we shall get to that later. First off, let’s recap where we stand in each series before ending in my...
